The challenge
Winning new agency business often came down to the RFP response — and for Two Rivers Marketing's clients and prospects, that response was traditionally a printed binder or a static deck. Producing one was slow and couldn't be personalized at the speed account teams needed when a pitch was on the line.
The approach
I built a headless CMS platform — Craft CMS on the backend, a Vue.js front end, and a GraphQL API connecting them — that let account teams assemble personalized, on-brand client microsites themselves, without touching code or waiting on a developer for every request. Because the output was a real website instead of a printed piece, it could carry the kind of structured, accessible markup a document never could. I backed that up with 100+ internal training sessions on structured data, semantic markup, and WCAG compliance, so every site the agency shipped — not just RFP microsites — met accessibility standards from the start.
The results
- Account teams went from printed deliverables measured in days to live microsites built in hours.
- The platform became the agency's default way to respond to RFPs — faster than any printed alternative.
- The accessibility training built alongside it scaled agency-wide, covering 100+ sessions.
