The challenge
Every policyholder receives an annual statement, and producing them in print at F&G's scale carries a real, recurring cost. The statement journey itself also needed work: it was built around paper, not around how policyholders actually look for and use that information today.
The approach
I led a redesign of the annual statement user journey alongside the transition to digital delivery — improving how policyholders find, read, and act on their statement, so going digital was an upgrade for them rather than just a cost cut for the company.
Where AI helped
I used AI as a tool on the repetitive parts of this project. The decisions, and what shipped, stayed with me.
- Generating placeholder data for design mockups that followed the patterns of real customer data.
The mockups read like the real thing without real customer records in them.
The results
- A projected $750K in print cost savings.
- An annual statement journey designed for how policyholders use it today.
